Privacy Policy

badges.ws is a non-tracking and privacy-respecting service. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data in compliance with applicable privacy laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Hosting and Service Providers

We use fly.io to host the badges.ws service. All badge requests are served via their infrastructure.

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or CDN services at this time.

For information about data that may be processed by our hosting provider, please refer to:

2. Cookies

We do not use cookies or any client-side storage.

3. Logs and Data Collection

We do not collect or store any user data ourselves.

Our hosting provider may log requests for operational and debugging purposes. These logs are managed by fly.io and are not used by us for analytics, profiling, or tracking.

4. Error Reporting

We do not currently use any external error-reporting services. If added in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect that.

5. Third-Party APIs

badges.ws may use third-party APIs (e.g., GitHub) to fetch public data needed to generate badges. These requests are anonymous and no identifying data is stored or associated with end users.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar data protection laws, users have rights regarding personal data. However, since we do not collect or process any personal information, these rights generally do not apply to our service.

7. Contact

For questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or data practices, feel free to open an issue on GitHub.
